Kingsford Charcoal Value Pack

The Kingsford Charcoal Value Pack is sometimes referred to as the Double Bag or Twin Bag Promotion. Regardless of the retailers branding title, it is two 20-pound or 16-pound bags of Kingsford Charcoal briquettes.

Kingsford also sometimes sells their Matchlight charcoal briquettes in a value pack of other two 16-pound, 14-pound or 12-pound bags.

Some retailers will also give away a free 2-pound sample bag of one of Kingsford’s seasoned charcoal briquettes like the Cumin & Chili or the Basil, Sage and Thyme.

If there’s a glaring omission in the Kingsford Value Pack lineup it’s that there isn’t any sort of Twin Bag sale on Hickory or Mesquite charcoal. This is odd, when you consider that they appeal to charcoal barbecue enthusiasts who typically want to buy a large volume of briquettes with smoking woods at one time.

The Home Depot tends to have the best price on the Kingsford Charcoal Value Pack at $19.99 for two 20-pound bags of original briquettes. Though they tend to only have them in stock early in the spring or around prime summer grilling holidays.

The next best place to find the Kingsford Charcoal Value Pack is at Walmart or Sam’s Club. They are more likely to have it in stock, and it usually sells for $19.99 to $26.99.

Regardless of the size of the two bags, the Kingsford Value Pack tends to be a better price per pound than if you were to purchase two individual bags of charcoal briquettes. Since they last for up to two years with proper storage, it’s a great way to stock up on premium charcoal briquettes.

Some bright-and-mortar retailers and a few select online vendors will also include a 2-pound free sample bag of Kingsford’s seasoned charcoal briquettes with every value pack. This is their way of softly introducing consumers to the Cumin & Chili or the Basil, Sage and Thyme seasoned charcoal briquettes.
