Before continuing this article, I wanted to let you know that I have a YouTube channel where I showcase all sorts of video content related to BBQ. Subscribing would mean a lot to me, and I very much appreicate all the support!

As a BBQ enthusiast, I’ve always been a huge fan of Traeger grills. However, I’ve recently encountered some frustrating issues with the Traeger app, which left me unable to connect to my grill and monitor my cook. In this blog post, I’ll share my experience and the solutions I found to help others who may be experiencing similar problems.

Can’t Log In: A Common Issue Among Users

I first noticed that I couldn’t log in to the Traeger app, leaving me unable to connect to my grill and monitor my cook.

After some research, I discovered that I wasn’t alone in facing this issue. Several other users had also experienced the same problem, and many of them shared their experiences on online forums.

Contacting Customer Support: A Mixed Bag

Some users suggested calling Traeger’s customer support for help.

Unfortunately, their experiences varied greatly. Some people were able to resolve their issues within minutes, while others reported unhelpful support representatives or long wait times on hold.

Temporary Solutions: Deleting and Reinstalling the App

One user shared that they were able to fix their login issue by deleting the app, reinstalling it, and logging back in.

This solution seemed to work for some users, but it’s not a guaranteed fix.

The Workaround: Creating New Accounts

Another user found a more tedious workaround, which involved manually forgetting the Wi-Fi on the Traeger, creating a new account with a new email, and following the initial setup instructions from the app.

This user had to create multiple accounts and emails to get the app to work consistently. While this method isn’t ideal, it might be worth trying if you’re desperate to use your grill.

The Ongoing Issue: Waiting for a Permanent Fix

Many users have been calling Traeger support for weeks about this issue, but it seems that a permanent fix has yet to be implemented.

Some users have even considered returning their grills and purchasing alternatives, such as the Big Green Egg, if the Wi-Fi connectivity issues aren’t resolved soon.

Final Thoughts

Despite my love for Traeger grills, my recent experiences with the app have left me feeling disheartened. It’s disappointing to see such a well-respected brand struggling with technical issues like this. I hope that Traeger will soon address these problems and restore their reputation for providing seamless, enjoyable BBQ experiences.

In the meantime, if you’re facing similar issues with the Traeger app, you might try some of the temporary solutions mentioned above. Just remember, sometimes nothing beats a good, old-fashioned, in-person brisket monitoring session.

Happy grilling!
