How long does it take to make Jambalaya on a Blackstone Griddle?

It will take around 30-35 minutes to prepare a full jambalaya dish on a Blackstone Griddle.

You’ll need some preparation time to wash and cut your vegetables and meats.

Then, you’ll need 5-10 minutes to cook your meats and vegetables all the way through. You can use a food thermometer to check the internal temperature of your meats to determine how much longer they need to cook.

Finally, you’ll need another 5-10 minutes to add the rice, sauce, and final seasonings, and allow the entire dish to cook as one mixture before serving.

How do you make jambalaya on a Blackstone Griddle?

To make jambalaya on a Blackstone Griddle, set your griddle burners to medium heat and add some oil. Then, season and saute your vegetables and meats. Cook them separately until the meat is cooked all the way through. Mix everything together, then add your rice, sauce, and any additional seasoning, and mix again!

Start by setting your Blackstone to medium heat and adding a light layer of oil. Then, add your chicken to one side of the griddle to season and saute. You’ll add your vegetables to the other side of the griddle to season and saute.

Make some space to saute your sausage and shrimp as well. Once these meats are all cooked through and the vegetables have softened, you can mix them all together.

For your shrimp, you may want to consider using a griddle dome while you saute them.

When your meats and vegetables are completely mixed, add some rice, tomato sauce, and any additional seasoning to your jambalaya. Stir the mixture well until everything is fully incorporated.

Allow the jambalaya to cook for a few minutes longer to bring out the full depth of flavor.

Finally, remove the jambalaya from the griddle and turn your griddle off. You can add green onion to the top as a garnish and then serve.
