BBQ Dropout
Living in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Robert has been around barbecue his entire life. Around the time he turned 18, Robert decided to save up and buy his first smoker, a tiny little 18in weber smokey mountain. It served its’ purpose, and smoked all sorts of meats ranging from pork shoulder to brisket. Eventually, Robert decided to upgrade and get his first ever Cast Iron offset smoker from a local retailer in San Antonio. 10 years later, the smoker is still standing strong and producing amazing Texas barbecue!
Throughout this time, Robert also started an Instagram page, BBQ Dropout, where he shares pictures of his barbecue journey. Additionally, he also started a YouTube channel where he produces high quality barbecue video content.

Robert launched BBQ Dropout in 2020 as a way to showcase his love of cooking amazing smoked food. Since then, the brand has grown across multiple social media platforms and continues to grow its’ presence in the industry. He is a born and raised central Texan who grew up around some of the world’s BEST barbecue and is now ready to show the world how it’s done.
